Selection reflects international recognition for the potential of Cerebra digital technology to change the future of sleep analysis.
Cerebra is pleased to announce that California-based MedTech Innovator, the premier international nonprofit startup accelerator in the medical technology industry, has selected Cerebra Health to participate in the organization’s 2020 MedTech Innovator Accelerator program, featuring the most promising medical technologies from around the globe.
Cerebra was chosen for its unique technology platform for delivering in-depth sleep analysis, centered on its advanced, EEG-based sleep metrics. The program commences June 25, 2020, with the MedTech Innovator Summit, where leadership teams from 50 best-in-class start-up companies will collaborate with MedTech Innovator’s corporate partners to find solutions to common challenges and mechanisms to accelerate their technologies. They will be joined by investors, providers, payers, and industry stakeholders, including representatives from major U.S. federal agencies. For the first time, this year’s two-day event will be hosted virtually.
Cerebra was one of 30 early-stage companies elected to participate in MedTech Innovator’s award-winning Accelerator program, in which high-potential medtech startups are matched with senior industry leaders to receive in-depth, customized mentorship and support.
“Acceptance into the MedTech Accelerator program is not only a recognition of disruptive potential of our technology, “stated Dawson Reimer, CEO of Cerebra. “But more importantly, an invaluable opportunity to work with a network of leading investors, providers, payers and industry stakeholders. We are honored to be among this distinguished group of innovating companies.”
The selection itself is a distinction, as Cerebra was chosen from an applicant pool of 1000+ companies, from across Europe and North America, first to compete in one of seven regional, qualifying MedTech Innovator Pitch Events, and ultimately to be among the few selected for the Accelerator program. The Accelerator is a four month long virtual program, which will culminate with Cerebra’s presentation and participation at The MedTech Conference – the world’s leading event for the medtech industry (October 5-7, 2020, Toronto). As an Accelerator company, Cerebra will compete for a spot as a finalist in the Medtech Innovator Competition, with the potential to receive the US$350,000 grand prize and the title of 2020 MedTech Innovator.
