Objective Insomnia Diagnosis

Better Diagnosis of Insomnia

Cerebra leads the way in sleep diagnostics with Odds Ratio Product (ORP) Sleep Architecture. By capturing sleep depth, the Cerebra Sleep System can better differentiate between Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and insomnia. Insomnia is hard to treat as there is no objective test for insomnia. Through using ORP to phenotype insomnia, Cerebra will fundamentally change how insomnia is diagnosed and managed.
ORP-9 has been shown to be highly correlated with hyperarousal for insomnia which is an objective symptom in some individuals with insomnia related to EEG.

It is Cerebra’s goal to be able to better diagnose and treat insomnia using novel EEG biomarkers of insomnia including hyperarousal, alpha intrusion, and arousal intensity. Research has concluded that these novel EEG metrics such as ORP may help distinguish Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) from insomnia and allow for better Individualized treatment of insomnia.*
