Lab-quality measurements with a

new level of insight

Bringing the science of the sleep lab home

We've packaged the power of the sleep lab into our Prodigy Sleep System, clinically proven to provide lab-quality measurement with fewer sensors. Both Prodigy Sleep System and Prodigy Digital Sleep Analysis are Health Canada approved Class II Medical Devices and are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Sleep Performance Metrics

Cerebra Sleep Performance Metrics are patented digital algorithms being used by researchers around the world to uncover in-depth insights into sleep beyond traditional analysis. These insights are now available to everyone through Cerebra sleep study.

ORP Sleep Depth

ORP Sleep Depth is a clinically-validated measure of sleep depth. ORP shows sleep as it actually happens: a continuous transition between thousands of levels of sleep depth. ORP ranges from 0 to 2.5 and predicts arousability from sleep with over 95% accuracy.

Sleep Sensitivity

Cerebra sleep sensitivity score provides new insight into the underlying drivers of sleep stability and quality and can help identify the issues underlying a person's insomnia. It is a trait that describes your natural likelihood to be disturbed by the disruptive factors in your body and environment.

The future of digital sleep analysis

Cerebra and Dr. Younes are continuing to validate new Sleep Performance Metrics and bring additional insights into our sleep study.

Spindles are linked to memory formation. Preliminary research links Cerebra spindle density to executive function the following day.

The change in ORP Sleep Depth between the first 1.5 hours of non-REM sleep and the final 1.5 hours of non-REM sleep is showing promise as a marker of sleep sufficiency.

The correlation of ORP Sleep Depth in the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Research is on-going to understand this metric's ability to mark sleep deprivation in individuals.

Limitations of traditional analysis

Since the traditional R&K sleep staging system was developed in the 1960s, sleep labs have relied on visually analyzing sleep to categorize it into 4 broad categories (REM, Stage 1, 2 and 3). These categories were developed based on what could be seen with the human eye and only scratch the surface of available information.
