Cerebra SLEEP is the first of its kind to provide direct measurement of sleep quality over multiple nights, using Cerebra’s unique technology and proprietary metrics. This product brings a comprehensive assessment to the place where sleep happens, in your bed and home. SLEEP offers those suffering from poor or insufficient sleep an in-depth look at their sleep profile, sleep sensitivity, night-to-night patterns and insights into the underlying causes of their sleeping issues.
The new SLEEP product is Cerebra’s second sleep study product offering, further establishing Cerebra as a leader in the field of sleep. Cerebra’s first product, COMPLETE, provides an extensive, lab-quality sleep assessment from home and is already recognized by leaders in the field. These products are being offered directly to consumers, employers and care providers.
True sleep analysis has traditionally required an overnight stay in a sleep lab. Most people find these sleep lab visits uncomfortable and not representative of a typical night’s sleep. Other at-home tests only screen for apnea and are limited in diagnostic scope.
As society and care providers become more aware of the importance of sleep to health and quality of life, our approach to diagnosing sleep disorders needs to change. Cerebra believes sleep assessment needs to become a part of sleep care
“There are all kinds of sleep products currently on the market, all professing to measure sleep, so it can be overwhelming for consumers to know where to go for help,” explains Cerebra CEO, Dawson Reimer. “You can wait an extended period of time for a visit to a sleep lab, or choose an at-home option. But typically those studies are only focused on the respiratory side sleep apnea, with little or no attention paid to sleep itself. Even when the patient goes to the sleep lab, the methods used to assess sleep are out-dated and do not reflect the real dynamics of sleep.” He adds, “Cerebra is committed to helping people improve the quality of their sleep, and by extension their health and quality of life, by providing access to meaningful, at-home digital sleep analysis. We will continue the push for real change in how we measure and evaluate sleep.”
ORP Sleep depth is changing the way we look at sleep
Clinically validated in dozens of studies, Cerebra’s ORP sleep depth helps provide a better understanding of the impact and severity of common sleep disorders which affect thousands of Canadians, including sleep apnea and insomnia, the two most common sleep disorders. ORP sleep depth expresses how likely you are to wake at any moment and is uniquely able to detect the effect of subtle changes in your environment. Sleep sensitivity is a derivative of ORP and describes your natural ability to return to sleep after a disturbance.
Cerebra’s sleep study products enable customers to buy their kit online, easily complete at home, and get personalized results online within days. All studies are reviewed by a registered polysomnographic technologist and come with personal support by a clinical sleep health educator and direct access to Cerebra’s treatment network for clinical care.
This product is now available online in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and BC at cerebra.health
